Singer Ray J is giving Kim Kardashian and Kanye West a wedding gift Kim would love to forget. Remember that little tape that made Kardashian famous some years ago? Ray J is giving the couple $47K for 4 months of his 2014 profits on the movie that he filmed with Kim. TMZ reports that the historic tape has generated over $6K each month of this year. Here are the exact numbers:
January 2014: $6,135.60
February 2014: $20,097.31
March 2014: $9,674.76
April 2014: $10,931.52
TOTAL: $46,839.19
Vivid Entertainment, the production company behind the video, has posted that the tape has generated $50 million after 7 years. Word has it that Kim won’t accept the gift. Why wouldn’t she take it? Reports on DailyMail and other publications find that Kardashian is trying to minimize her wedding expenses by selling video coverage of the event. Given she’s set to make $21 million, another $47K couldn’t hurt. After all, that American Express bill isn’t going to come cheap after flying her entire glam squad on business class to Italy. She has to pay for their rooms that rent at $1,000 a night and up.
And in case you haven’t been following the whole Kim and Kanye wedding, it very well may go down as one of the most memorable weddings of all time which if you ask us is a little strange. You’d think it’d be a royal wedding or something to that effect. Instead we have Kim Kardashian going down in the record books for most memorable wedding in history? That says a lot about our culture.
