Drake and Frank Ocean have never worked together on a song before, but rumors have begun to emerge that all may be about to change.
During his Apple Music Radio broadcast on Monday (August 21), Zane Lowe shared his excitement for Drizzy’s forthcoming album For All the Dogs and reportedly claimed it features an “industry-shaking, never-done-before” collaboration that he called a “feature of dreams.”

While Lowe didn’t name-drop Frank specifically, the radio host apparently played the singer’s 2016 song “Nikes” following his comments, which some listeners interpreted as a hint at it being the Blonde crooner.
Speculation was further fueled when eagle-eyed fans recalled that Drake posted a vinyl copy of Frank’s Blonde LP on his Instagram Stories last week.
UPDATE: Zane Lowe has denied making these comments. “Not true. Haven’t said a word about the new Drake album, I hardly ever speak on Frank. Haven’t even been on radio for last few weeks. Back today,” he clarified on Twitter on Tuesday (August 22).

While Drake and Frank Ocean have never officially released music together, the pair have had numerous interactions over the past year, again adding fuel to the fire that a collaboration between the two is imminent.
In March 2022, Drizzy bought a $2 million chain from Frank’s Homer jewelry line, which the singer posted a picture of on Instagram. Later that year, the Toronto native shouted out Homer on his Honestly, Nevermind track “Sticky,” as well as “Privileged Rappers” from his Her Loss album with 21 Savage.

“The diamonds, they hit like a rainbow, that’s ’cause the necklace a Frank,” he rapped on the latter.
In other news, Drake revealed the cover art for For All the Dogs on Monday, tapping none other than his five-year-old son Adonis to design it.

Set in front of a black background, the cartoon canine has a white fur coat and glowing red eyes, setting a menacing tone for Drizzy’s next album.
“FOR ALL THE DOGS,” the Toronto native wrote in the caption. “Cover by Adonis.”

The unorthodox cover caught the eye of his followers, with fans and peers alike flooding his comments section with their reactions.

While it remains to be seen whether Frank Ocean is indeed the “industry-shaking” guest on For All the Dogs, Drake has confirmed at least one collaboration, revealing that his old pal Nicki Minaj will appear on the project.
A release date has yet to be announced, but according to Drizzy, the album is “coming real soon.”
